There are many ways to help out at St. Andrew’s. You can volunteer to host the coffee hour; sing in the choir; serve on the Altar Guild; help out in the church office; cook, serve and help clean during special events; support the Way Café on Tuesdays; participate in P.E.A.C.E.; visit the sick & homebound; usher; become a lay reader or chalice bearer. These are only SOME of the ways you can make a difference at St. Andrew’s and in our community.
There is no better “next step” in your Christian faith than being willing to serve others. Please contact the church office at (561) 582-6609 with your interests and availability!
Be an Acolyte
St. Andrew’s welcomes new acolytes. Please speak to Debra Carter or call the Church office (561) 582-6609 if you or your child is interested in learning about this vital ministry. Acolytes can be servers, torchbearers and lighters of candles, as well as crucifers, thurifers and banner-bearers. Get involved in a beautiful tradition of Christian worship!
The altar guild is a voluntary group whose ministry is to care for the altar, vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Altar Guild members prepare the sanctuary for services and tidy up afterwards. Altar Guild members may also help with or supervise the decoration of the sanctuary with flowers.
If you are interested in serving our parish in this special way, please contact the office at (561) 582-6609.
Coffee Hour Hosting
St. Andrew’s is a friendly parish where everyone loves to visit and fellowship during coffee hour after the Sunday morning 10 a.m. service.
Volunteers are needed to host coffee hour each Sunday. The menu can be simple or elaborate, savory or sweet, it’s up to each host. The parish provides coffee and serving supplies. The host(s) does the rest! To volunteer, please complete the form below and press “Submit.” Someone from the hospitality committee will respond to you soon. Your offer of hospitality is greatly appreciated!
Music at St. Andrew’s: Join the Choir!
The Choir of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church welcomes new singers. Rehearsals are held at the church at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings, except during the summer months, when rehearsals are suspended. However, the choir still reports on Sunday mornings to participate in the 10 a.m. service. Think about singing with the choir. Robe up and make a joyful noise! Thursday evening choir rehearsals will resume in early September.
Don’t hesitate to introduce yourself to a choir member, speak with choir director Mark Lynch, or call the office at (561) 582-6609. All voices are welcome!
